A Collaboration between DELFINGEN and Plastic Odyssey<\/h2>\n

After two years of partnership in support of the expedition, the DELFINGEN teams are now engaging in field projects developed by Plastic Odyssey Factories. This new challenge aims to add value to waste on the island by setting up two recycling micro-factories in Cebu and Manila. Plastic Odyssey Recycling Micro-Factories<\/h2>\n

These micro-factories <\/a>are local, practical solutions for innovative and decentralized waste management. Throughout the expedition, Plastic Odyssey engineers have been able to enhance their knowledge of recycling machines to offer low-tech containerized factories. Positioned within a set of containers and equipped with photovoltaic panels, this ergonomic recycling chain can transform more than 500 tons of plastic waste into high-value products per year, particularly for the furniture and construction sectors.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”16373″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” css=”” qode_css_animation=””][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1729072221476{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}” el_class=”mt2″]<\/p>\n

Setting up in Cebu and Manila, Philippines<\/h2>\n

The two factories are currently under construction in Cebu and Manila, where engineers and operators from DELFINGEN and Plastic Odyssey are combining their efforts and ingenuity to develop and prepare all the necessary facilities to add value to plastic waste and transform it into useful resources for local communities!<\/p>\n

These two new recycling units will be operational within a few weeks, to coincide with the vessel\u2019s scheduled stopovers<\/a> in the Philippines in November and December 2024.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”52065″ img_size=”full” css=”” qode_css_animation=””][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1729072228300{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}” el_class=”mt2″]This initiative, set up on a tight deadline, is made possible thanks to the essential support of a local partner such as DELFINGEN.
