After three years of expedition, it is now entering a new phase of missions and awareness-raising.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;58862&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221; el_class=&#8221;pt2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1764780446664{margin-top: 40px !important;margin-bottom: 40px !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Your Mission On Board<\/h3>\n<p>As Head Chef, you will be responsible for preparing meals for the entire crew with a clear ambition: proving that plastic-free, low-carbon cooking is not only feasible, but scalable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sourcing, storing, and cooking entirely zero-waste, prioritizing bulk ingredients, fresh produce, local suppliers, and short supply chains.<\/li>\n<li>Developing a predominantly plant-based cuisine aligned with our carbon-reduction objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Optimizing onboard resources: stock management, plastic-free preservation, processing leftovers, and minimizing food waste.<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with the ship\u2019s Zero-Waste Officer to design, test, and validate practices that can be replicated both at sea and on land.<\/li>\n<li>Using the vessel as a prototyping platform to experiment with innovative, plastic-free methods of preservation, logistics, and food preparation.<\/li>\n<li>Documenting findings and helping share these methods with our partners, local communities we meet along the way, and our international network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Candidate Profile<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional seafarer required, with valid seafarer number and up-to-date seaman\u2019s book.<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience in professional cooking, ideally in an onboard or remote environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong sensitivity to zero-waste principles, bulk sourcing, sustainable diets, and plant-forward cuisine.<\/li>\n<li>Creativity, autonomy, rigor, and the ability to adapt to constrained logistical conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Motivation to contribute to a mission serving the public interest and to actively take part in transforming food practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Conditions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Boarding early January 2026<\/li>\n<li>Duration: 2 to 3 months maximum<\/li>\n<li>RIF-flagged vessel<\/li>\n<li>Food and accommodation provided on board<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column el_class=&#8221;shadow2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"margin-top: 0;\">Join Us!<\/h2>\n<p>By joining the expedition, you will become part of an international mission that uses the vessel as a tool to demonstrate and prototype the solutions enabling a plastic-free, low-carbon food system, even in extreme conditions.
