Nuestra primera parada fue en <strong>Cayena<\/strong>, Nuestra primera escala fue Cayena, coraz\u00f3n econ\u00f3mico e institucional de la regi\u00f3n, donde pudimos celebrar una rueda de prensa, visitar dos plantas industriales de clasificaci\u00f3n, montar <a href=\"\/es\/soluciones\/nomadic-expo\/\">una exposici\u00f3n sobre alternativas al pl\u00e1stico<\/a> en el TOTEM de la Canop\u00e9e des Sciences y recibir a bordo del barco a 4 grupos escolares.<\/p>\n<p>Luego zarpamos de nuevo hacia el \u00abPort de l&#8217;Ouest\u00bb en <strong>Saint-Laurent du Maroni<\/strong>, donde la Communaut\u00e9 de Communes de l&#8217;Ouest Guyanais (<a href=\"https:\/\/ouestguyane.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CCOG<\/a>) hab\u00eda organizado todo para nuestra llegada. Celebramos otra rueda de prensa y expusimos los Ba\u00fales de Tesoros al pie del barco.<\/p>\n<p>En Saint-Laurent du Maroni, tambi\u00e9n acogimos a empresarios e instituciones locales en la <a href=\"\/en\/onboard-laboratory-french-guiana\/\">sesi\u00f3n n\u00ba 10 del Laboratorio OnBoard<\/a>. Clases de escolares de la zona se apuntaron y, por primera vez, organizamos una jornada de <strong>puertas abiertas para el p\u00fablico<\/strong> en general. V\u00edctima de su propio \u00e9xito, todas las visitas se reservaron en tres horas. Por tanto, esta zona parec\u00eda menos propicia para la aplicaci\u00f3n de nuestras <a href=\"https:\/\/plasticodyssey.org\/es\/soluciones\/\">soluciones<\/a> propuestas.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, in situ descubrimos que el <strong>sistema de gesti\u00f3n de residuos estaba poco desarrollado<\/strong> (consiste principalmente en clasificar y envasar ciertos tipos de residuos antes de exportarlos a la Francia continental) y que las <strong>iniciativas de reciclado de pl\u00e1sticos<\/strong> eran escasas, a pesar de existir una necesidad real y actores dispuestos a invertir.<\/p>\n<p>El reto es construir un nuevo modelo adaptado a las condiciones locales. A\u00fan queda mucho por hacer para <strong>desarrollar el sector del reciclaje de baja tecnolog\u00eda<\/strong>, y estamos trabajando en ello en colaboraci\u00f3n con empresarios comprometidos como <a href=\"https:\/\/oceansciencelogistic.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OSL -Ocean Science &amp; Logistic<\/a>&#8211; y su proyecto de transformaci\u00f3n de redes de pesca ilegales
