2. Privacy policy (GDPR)

This section describes how Plastic Odyssey Foundation collects and processes the personal data submitted through the #SailingForOceans campaign pledge form, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act ("Informatique et Libertés").

Data controller

Data collected

When you complete the pledge form, we collect the information you provide:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Boat name (optional)
• Home port (optional)
• Chosen level of support
• Your consent to be contacted, along with the date and time of registration

Purposes

This data is used exclusively to contact you about your involvement in the #SailingForOceans campaign, to send you the information, kit and steps related to your participation, and to manage the campaign community.

Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), collected via the form's checkbox. You may withdraw it at any time.

Recipients

The data is intended for authorised teams within Plastic Odyssey Foundation. It is never sold, transferred or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. It is processed through the site's technical tools (email delivery and storage on the server hosted by OVH, within the European Union).

Retention period

Your data is kept until you request its deletion or unsubscribe. You may make this request at any time by writing to the contact address indicated above.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, contact us at the address indicated above. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
