A new way of developing technologies
Rather than internalizing development, we choose to use crowdsourcing and collaborate with industry as well as with enthusiasts, academics, start-ups, etc. We also make the choice that our technologies are free of rights (open-source) and not patented. Finally, these innovations will be frugal (low-tech) and low cost to be easily reproducible and used by the greatest number.

Goal: produce an optical sorting machine at small scale and reduced coasts (under 100€)

Multi-purpose recycling machine
Goal: obtain new materials such as insulating material, building bricks, tiles or even furnitures by the way of a plastic extruder with multiple end types. This machine is easy to use, portable and energy self-sufficient.

Goal: build and embark onboard our prototype boat a small scale pyrolysis plant capable of recovering plastic’s energy.

From plastic to fuel
A containerized pyrolysis unit will be developed then used onboard to power the ship’s engines.
At the end of each port of call, it will transform plastic waste harvested onshore into fuel to power the ship’s engines.

Plastic waste is poured into the shredder and broken down into flakes..
Flakes are heated at 430°C without oxygen and decompose to obtain fuel vapors, syngas, and carbon black.
Big molecules are broken into smaller ones to get more fuel.
Diesel and gasoline are separated then collected through two columns of condensation. From 320°C to 200°C for the diesel and from 200°C to 20°C for the gasoline.
The gasoline and diesel obtained are collected in two separate tanks.
Syngas recollection and use
Non-Condensable Flammable gases (Syngas) that did not liquified are collected.
They are mixed with air and combusted, providing heat to the pyrolysis reactor.
