It’s the big day for Plastic Odyssey
After the festival, the Plastic Odyssey team was able to receive and thank the partners who support the project. This was also an opportunity to hear from Alexandre and Simon, the co-founders, about their adventures since the beginning of the project, to discover the Exhibition of Solutions, which brings together all the alternatives to plastics found by Maïté, the director of the association, as well as the turnkey recycling factories developed for recycling entrepreneurs.
The christening ceremony
We were delighted to welcome Denis Brogniart as the master of ceremonies on Friday, September 30, to host the ship’s christening and smash the bottle of champagne on the hull, as tradition dictates.
Regatta, Armada and Departure of the ship
On October 1st, 2022, the Plastic Odyssey ship, accompanied by a dozen other boats, covered its first miles towards its first stop: Beirut, Lebanon.
