Carbon Contribution Partner

Plastic Odyssey and Removall

Building a more responsible expedition together, contributing through carbon finance to the fight against climate change.

The Removall story

Removall, a purpose-driven company, has been co-founded in 2021 by JĂ©rĂ´me Beilin and Patrick Demaegdt, two entrepreneurs specialized in carbon markets and environmental transition, willing to bring carbon finance and impact investment at scale.

The company develops and invests in carbon sequestration and emissions reduction projects, especially natural ecosystem regeneration projects, thereby increasing global carbon sinks and fighting against climate change. All investments are financing premium projects with strong and tangible positive impacts on populations and ecosystems.

Removall has a unique double expertise on the market, with a deep knowledge of carbon offsetting projects coupled with a strong experience in financing ecological transition.

With hundreds of projects in its pipeline, Removall:

  • Has already developed and invested in 6 projects.
  • Has supported more than 50 projects over the past three years.
  • Is currently developing 25 new projects in France and Internationally.
  • Has already offset over 4 million tons of CO2 equivalent on behalf of its customers.

“Climate change is increasing – and so does plastic pollution. We need to act urgently on all fronts to fight against climate change and preserve natural ecosystems: Removall and Plastic Odyssey are partnering together for a better future.”

JĂ©rĂ´me Beilin, CEO of Removall

A shared vision

Removall and Plastic Odyssey share the same vision of a better future. “It implies to act on all fronts, fighting against climate change, plastic pollution and biodiversity loss at the same time.

Removall is convinced that fostering awareness and disseminating knowledge are vital to empowering communities worldwide, to take meaningful action and implement real field projects on the ground. Plastic Odyssey Expedition is also at the forefront of these actions.

Removall and Plastic Odyssey, scope of the collaboration

Removall is evaluating the carbon footprint of Plastic Odyssey Expeditions focusing on the boat fuel consumptions and the team business travels worldwide, aligned with international standards such as the GHG Protocol and the “Bilan Carbone” methodology, developed by the ADEME (French National Agency for the Environment and Energy Efficiency).

Greenhouse gas emissions are then mitigated by contributing to impactful certified carbon offset projects, including renewable energy and blue carbon projects.

Removall is also helping Plastic Odyssey to estimate the carbon reductions associated with its plastic recycling micro-factories, giving access to scientifically recognized data and methodologies.
